We are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation within the construction materials and infrastructure sector. With an expanding presence across Ireland, the business is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Dublin and Leinster region.
The role is supported by a Leinster-based HQ in Tallaght and offers the opportunity to join a well-backed organisation with a strong market position and a broad product portfolio. This position will suit someone who enjoys developing long-term commercial relationships and identifying new opportunities across a diverse customer base.
The Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth across a defined territory by developing new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing client relationships.
This is a relationship-led, field-based role with a strong emphasis on specification selling and long-term project engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across public and private sector clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, merchants, and key stakeholders
• Engage clients at specification stage to influence product selection and secure long-term project wins
• Manage and grow existing accounts, identifying opportunities across a broader product offering
• Develop and execute territory sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives
• Deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements
• Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, and sales forecasts
Requirements
• Proven experience in B2B business development or field sales
• Experience within construction materials, infrastructure, or regulated industries preferred
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
• Experience managing longer sales cycles and relationship-led sales processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel
