Job Title: Account Manager - Public Affairs (Dublin)

Overview: Our client seeks an ambitious Account Manager with public affairs expertise to join their expanding team in Dublin. The successful candidate will manage client accounts in sectors such as green energy, transport, and technology, while fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Previous agency or direct political/policy experience is preferred, along with the ability to drive new business opportunities.


  • Formulate and execute innovative public affairs campaigns.

  • Produce high-quality analytical briefs/reports for clients.

  • Develop a deep understanding of relevant policy and legislative/regulatory issues.

  • Monitor and analyse political and parliamentary developments.

  • Manage client events and activities effectively.

  • Craft compelling messaging strategies.

  • Provide strategic advice to clients, enhancing their engagement with key stakeholders.

  • Utilise digital and social media channels to leverage outreach.

  • Support new business activities, including pitches and opportunity identification.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to monitor the policy landscape, identifying risks and opportunities for clients.

Person Specification:

  • 4-5 years' experience in a similar agency role or directly in political and regulatory processes.

  • Master's level degree in relevant subjects (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Public Policy, Law, etc.).

  • Knowledge and experience in green energy, transport, or technology sectors in Ireland; EU knowledge is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with the broad Irish and European policy and political landscape.

  • Experience managing public affairs campaigns and client interactions.

  • Strategic or crisis communications experience is beneficial.
