Public Affairs and Policy Analyst - 1 day in office per week

The successful candidate will be integral in horizon scanning for future policy developments in enterprise and workforce development, managing key partnerships, and advocating for the organisation's work.


Responsibilities:

  • Horizon scan for future Government policy and collaborate with stakeholders to influence policy direction.

  • Monitor Government policy actions and review implementation across the organization and networks.

  • Develop submissions to public consultations to relevant Government Departments.

  • Organize strategic briefings with Oireachtas Members, Department Officials, and industry groups.

  • Ensure stakeholder perspectives are integrated into policy submissions and public affairs activities.

  • Manage events, including Ministerial briefings and speeches, and coordinate external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the organisation’s profile through conferences, events, web, and social media.

  • Coordinate responses to Parliamentary Questions and Department queries.

  • Participate in special projects, including supporting the client’s Industry Insights Research series.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in policy/public affairs with a strong research background.

  • Proven engagement with Oireachtas Members and Department Officials.

  • Excellent written communication skills for clear policy and political briefs.

  • Independent, self-directed, and solution-oriented.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with diplomacy and the ability to convey complex information.

  • Business acumen and a third level degree in a relevant discipline.


This is a contract role - 12 month FTC
