To support its growth, our client wishes to appoint a Director of Public Affairs. The successful candidate will demonstrate an abundance of drive, sound judgement and creativity. Focus, passion, and persistence will be at the heart of everything they do.
Purpose of the role:
Provide strategic counsel to clients
Identify business challenges and opportunities
Advise on Public Affairs strategy
Advise on the political process in Ireland
Analyse and interpret legislative proposals
Advise clients on business interests and media relations
Support clients’ corporate communications needs
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic public affairs and corporate communications counsel
Manage client portfolio's commerciality, invoicing, and budgeting
Support division's growth agenda by identifying new business opportunities
Supervise account teams to ensure high client service standards
Participate in internal initiatives such as product development and training
Promote the company and yourself through marketing and networking initiatives
Stay updated on industry developments
Indicative functions:
Develop deep understanding of clients’ business and anticipate their needs
Deliver integrated public affairs and communications campaigns
Support clients with crisis communications advice
