The Company and Role:
Our client, one of Ireland’s largest national transport operators, is seeking an experienced Media and Corporate Communications Manager to lead their press office function and coordinate all media relations activity. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications, the Senior Leadership Team, and the CEO, the role drives both reactive and proactive external communications strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead reactive communications with political representatives, media, and national stakeholders.
- Deliver proactive external communications including press releases, speeches, social media, and campaign materials.
- Manage relationships with Government departments, regulatory bodies, and key media contacts.
- Oversee corporate publications, website content, and crisis communications.
- Motivate and manage the Corporate Communications team.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum five years’ experience in a senior media relations or public affairs role.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proven leadership capability.
- Digital-first approach to communications with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Third level or postgraduate qualification in journalism, communications, or equivalent.
