Our client is a growing Irish SaaS company offering a financial control and analytics platform for the Food & Beverage industry. The platform automates 95% of customers’ monthly accounting and provides tailored analytics for key decision-makers.

Role Overview
We’re seeking a Head of Data Operations to oversee the client’s data systems. This hands-on leadership role requires expertise in data management, from integration to debugging, ensuring accuracy and scalability. You’ll manage a data team, drive data quality, and improve processes while collaborating with technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Data Operations team

• Oversee the full data lifecycle (ingestion to availability)

• Implement and maintain data controls for accuracy and consistency

• Troubleshoot complex data issues across systems and integrations

• Scope and design customer integrations and internal data flows

• Manage large datasets using developer tools and scripting

• Maintain data schema consistency and best practices

• Collaborate with engineering on system architecture and tooling

• Champion simplicity, reliability, and process improvements

• Create documentation and training materials for internal data management

• Drive automation and streamline recurring data issues

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3+ years in data operations or engineering

• Deep understanding of data in real-world systems

• Experience managing or mentoring data teams

• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery)

• Familiarity with data modeling, validation, and cloud storage (e.g. AWS S3)

• Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in retail or Food & Beverage sectors

• Background in financial or accounting data

• Exposure to tools like dbt, Airflow, Fivetran

• Familiarity with scripting (e.g. Python) for automation
