Overview:
Our client, a growing distributor in the electric heating sector, seeks a Business Development Manager to drive B2B sales across the Island of Ireland, focusing on construction, infrastructure, and facilities sectors. This newly created role offers significant earning potential and the opportunity to build the B2B sales function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Sales: Conduct market research to identify opportunities in construction, infrastructure, and facilities sectors. Develop sales strategies, target prospects, and build relationships with procurement managers to generate new business.
- Client Relationships: Build long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying further opportunities.
- Team Collaboration & Growth: Work alongside a small inside sales team with plans to expand. Shape and develop the sales team as business grows.
- Autonomous Role: Drive sales independently as the primary salesperson, with no existing client base.
Person Specification:
- Degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Proven B2B business development experience, preferably in construction or facilities sectors.
- Strong ability to engage with procurement managers, close sales, and upsell.
- Self-motivated with a proven track record in meeting sales targets.
- Ability to travel across the Island of Ireland.
